Your birdhouse is built to exacting standards for the bird you want to attract.
Be aware however there is no guarantee that the bird that uses your birdhouse will be the one you want to attract.
For example, if you order a birdhouse to attract Downey Woodpeckers you may find your house used by a Red-Breasted Nuthatch since both birds love the exact same size nesting site and opening for their nests.
Not that this is a bad thing because both are beautiful birds!
We just can't guarantee our houses will be used by the bird you want.
For some excellent reading on birds you can attract to your home and how to make your environment best suited to the birds you want please refer to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife publication, "Migratory Birds." Please look at this useful information to make sure you're doing all you can to attract the species you want around your home.
Every bird on this page has a picture and a link to Wikipedia for more information on that bird. Please check out the birds you want to attract and look on Wikipedia to determine if they frequent your part of the country. Enjoy your reading!
We have also found Wikipedia to offer a wealth of information on birds. Wikipedia offers information on ranges, breeding habits, predation on and from other birds and some interesting stories concerning the birds themselves. We have included links to Wikipedia on all of the birds we list so you can research the bird yourself. More enjoyable reading for the bird enthusiast.
If there's a bird you do not see on this page and you'd like a home built for it, please contact us and suggest it. Our team will research the needs of the bird and determine if we are capable of building a home to that bird's needs. We will contact you in either case to let you know what we have found.
